The Oyster (Patent Pending) uses tumbling elastomer technology to gently clean dirt off the leather of baseballs. Simply put your bucket of dirty baseballs in The Oyster's specially designed drum, place the drum on the base, turn on the timer, and let it run. The Oyster can handle 20-30 baseballs at one time. As The Oyster drum rotates, carefully crafted elastic cleaning compound interacts with the balls, lifting the dirt off of the leather without harming the seams. In as little as an hour*, you will have a bucket of pearls!
*Amount of time needed depends on the dirtiness level of the balls. Times range from one hour to an overnight cleaning session.
Inside The Oyster Drum (above) - Fill the drum with cubes of cleaning compound and baseballs, close and lock the drum, place it on the oyster base, then set the timer. As the drum rotates, the cleaning compound interacts with the balls, gently lifting the dirt. Notice that the inside of the drum is lined with high-grade astroturf to protect the balls and minimize noise.
